Q: In which context did you work with Perceptive Analytics?

Deepti: Sure. So with Perceptive Analytics, we started working around six months back. There was an internal requirement from our company. There was an internal shift, I would say moving from DaS Data as a Service to SaaS Software as a Service and it was basically a complete revamp of what kind of metrics we track on a day-to-day basis, the reporting and the dashboards that we have.

At that time we came across Perceptive Analytics through the reference of our CFO and so we started working on creating various reporting and dashboards, Power BI dashboards specifically, which are now getting used on a day-to-day basis or in weekly meetings with our leadership team, our sales leaders and sales team internally.

Q: How was your experience working with Perceptive Analytics?

Deepti: Overall, we are really happy that we actually got to work with such a dedicated and very, very receptive organization. Overall experience is really positive. The more we started working with the team, we found how flexible they are in molding the requirements. And not just the flexibility, but also when it comes to problem solving, the approach or methodology that was taken was really at board level.

Overall experience is really positive. We started with one team, but slowly the project scope widened and other teams wanted to work with Perceptive. So yeah, overall, really happy.

Q: What progress did you make working with Perceptive Analytics?

Deepti: It's tremendous progress, actually. From six months back where we were versus where we are now, it's really a huge difference. The main thing is the repeatability of the work. Earlier, people were doing the same work again and again over a period of time, providing reporting and dashboards on a one-off request basis. Now we have a platform where they can simply go, access, and see the information that's available.

That is a huge plus when we adopted or shifted to Power BI reporting. From Excel spreadsheets or Salesforce reporting, just merely coming out of Salesforce reports, we have now shifted to structured dashboards. That’s a big plus.

Q: What were some of the high notes or positives while working with Perceptive?

Deepti: There were many requirements. We were pretty well stocked with projects and definitely did not have our business requirements listed down in a very sophisticated format. At that point in time, it was more of a discussion with the Perceptive team, figuring out options and the best possible ways to work around.

That was the key — the team was always receptive towards requirements, very flexible, and throughout the six months very patient with us. Requirements kept changing as we learned, but the team kept their cool, stayed receptive and flexible, and also brainstormed solutions with us. Overall, it was a really good experience.

Q: What is the business value you gained from Perceptive’s work?

Deepti: The biggest value is time. Not having repeatitive reporting and dashboards and the scalability we’ve gained has already started adding value. We’re not wasting time in administrative work, but actually getting more time to review the data, review the information, and derive actionable insights.

It’s just the beginning. In the coming months it’s going to be even more useful, because now that everybody has the platform to track things on a day-to-day basis, it will simply get better for insight, analysis, and reviewing business health.

Q: How has stakeholder feedback been?

Deepti: The feedback is obviously positive. We started with a certain team and project in mind, but as more people saw the value and insights from this type of reporting, more teams wanted to adopt Power BI. There was more flexibility internally and more receptiveness to work with the Perceptive team.

Stakeholders include the CEO, CFO, sales leaders, sales owners, and also teams from marketing and customer success. Everybody basically loved the reporting and is using it to get more detailed analysis on their functions.

Q: How do you find the team at Perceptive Analytics?

Deepti: The team is really, really nice — a very personable experience. Working with the team was really good, from flexible working hours to brainstorming with us on various problem-solving methods. The technical knowledge the team has is definitely commendable.

They know the product and platform in and out, and that helps business users like me and my team get exactly what we want. Definitely a great experience, and I would recommend Perceptive Analytics to anyone with similar requirements.

Q: What would you tell someone considering Perceptive Analytics?

Deepti: I guess it’s that there was never a “no” I heard from Chaitanya for any requirement. Even if requirements were obscure, you always came up with either a solution or a better workaround than what we had in mind.

We feel really blessed to have got the opportunity to work with you. We’re based in the US and finding an organization across the ocean that is so flexible, receptive, and passionate about their work made the process very easy and a great learning experience for us.
