Dick Sobel, Managing Director of PricePoint Partners, shares her experience working with Perceptive Analytics.

Q: What was the context in which you reached out to Perceptive Analytics?

Dick: Yeah, so we are pricing consultants and we have a product, it's a SaaS product where we have developed a program called Acuity Analytics which is based on a Tableau Salesforce platform.

And this has been around for about six or seven years and each time we go along, we add different dashboards and different value to our clients.

But every once in a while, there are some very difficult requests that I can't handle. And going through the traditional Tableau support, it's not the same as it was when they were independent. Now that they're part of Salesforce, it's more difficult to get a more deeper understanding or to get into a more difficult calculation.

And this one in particular that I first approached Perceptive was one I was thinking about for years and couldn't figure it out. So I gave that to Akhil and he figured it out and I've been able to offer it to at least two clients and perhaps now another couple of more clients.

So for me, I had a problem to be solved and I found you on the internet and it turned out to be a good thing.



Q: What has your experience been like working with Perceptive Analytics?

Dick: Actually very good because you are 10 hours ahead of us, I can send a request for a dashboard or something special and then the next morning I hear from Akhil that he has already handled it.

And then if there are follow-ups, I can then at the end of the day in my time, send out the message and the next morning it's fixed.

So the experience has been very well, very responsive. I've never had to wait more than a day to get a response.



Q: How would you describe the team at Perceptive Analytics?

Dick: Well, again, excellent because I am very confident that you are experts in what you do and just by the fact that you were able to solve a problem for me that I couldn't figure out for years.

And so I think that between Akhil and Chaitanya, things have worked well and I have given Chaitanya some questions about building in some additional features that might involve artificial intelligence and so forth but you are in the business.

In fact, we look at you almost like a strategic partner now. If I have an issue and I have told others, you're a good company to go to.



Q: What would you tell someone considering Perceptive Analytics?

Dick: Well, I would say if you have more complex, difficult problems to solve, it doesn't have to be in Tableau. It could be in any kind of a data analytic question.

Even though you are located in another country, your response is if you were right here in the United States and so I would recommend that they use you and I have made some recommendations already.

Q: Is there anything else you would like to add about Perceptive Analytics?

Dick: Yes, I think that I have posted a few of your comments on I have about 1,500, 1,600 pricing people in my connections.

I do many webinars and podcasts for other people. We are well connected with the Professional Pricing Society. I've written papers in that regard.

And so my feeling is anybody who's trying to do, and it doesn't just have to be pricing or margin, any kind of analytics, and they are having difficulty in putting it together, then it's worth a call and they will not be disappointed.
